Platzly ("Platzly", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Jason Pemberton as a sole proprietorship, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you use our Platform.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, password (encrypted), profile photo.

Profile Information: Biography, preferred language, communication preferences.

Listing Information (Hosts): Parking space address, photos, description, pricing, availability, access instructions.

Payment Information: Processed by Stripe (we do not store card numbers). Bank account details for payouts (Hosts).

Communications: Messages with other users, support conversations, reviews and feedback.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, unique device identifiers.

Usage Information: Pages accessed, time spent on Platform, search queries, booking history.

Location Information: Precise location (with permission) for finding nearby spots, IP-based approximate location.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

Name and email from Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, transaction status from Stripe.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Providing Services: Creating accounts, processing bookings and payments, facilitating communication
• Safety and Security: Verifying identities, detecting fraud, enforcing Terms of Service
• Platform Improvement: Analysing usage, improving features, developing new services
• Communications: Sending booking confirmations, service updates, marketing (with consent)
• Legal Compliance: Complying with legal obligations, responding to legal requests

4. Data Sharing

With Other Users: Hosts see Guest names; Guests see Host profiles; both see contact info for confirmed bookings.

Service Providers:

We do NOT sell your personal data.

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR and Swiss law, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability: Receive your data in a portable format

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, most data is removed within 30 days, with some retained up to 7 years for legal/tax compliance.

The Platform is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
